I‘m a geek, a reader, and a writer. I’m not single. I’m Belgian but I’ve been living in France since early 2000. I like tea and coffee. I was born in 1970.
My first computer was an Apple II, my first PC a Windows machine running Windows 3.X. Since then, I’ve been a faithfull Apple user, an occasional Windows user and, sometimes, a GNU/Linux user.
In a previous life, I created and managed a French photography magazine, and a magazine dedicated to Apple. Under my name and under many other names, I published quite a few how-to guides, all computer or photography related.
For a few years now my eyesight has been deteriorating to the point that I can’t use a computer without some help: adapted colors and much bigger stuff on screen.
Early 2019, tired of Apple’s poor design decisions, and impressed by Microsoft own innovative hardware—and by its great work on accessibility—I decided to switch to Windows.
Why this blog?
As a Mac user switching full time to Windows I thought, why not share my experience/questions/tips/eureka moments—and rants?
I have no idea where this blog is going, it’s just something I wanted to do and share.
Oh, and if you’re wondering, yeah, I made this amazing blog logo myself 😉
Why in English and not in French?
I want to learn English and can’t think of any better way to do it but by writing. Consider yourself warned, though: mistakes will be made—you’re more than welcome to help me correct them.
If you’re curious, here is a link to my other non-windows related blog.
