Do you have Tiles missing their icon in your Start menu? I do, all the time. Making the Start menu slightly less useful:
The good news is that there is a simple workaround. The bad news is that you still need it, after all these years—it’s so irking it feels like the bug has been around for a million years or so.
So, what’s the solution? Right-click somewhere empty on the Taskbar, select Task Manager. Then right-click on the Windows Explorer entry and choose Restart. It won’t restart the PC, only the File Explorer service (and the Start menu).
Everything should be back to normal. Welcome back, my absolute mess of a Start menu—I wouldn’t want it to be different 😉
